Sweet Potato Cinnamon Rolls with Chocolate Chips

These yummy incredible rolls suits prefect to have for snacks with a cup of coffee or tea, just imagine this rolls with coffee, how super tempting na. Believe me, these rolls gets vanished quickly. I have to hide some rolls for better half as they were quite addictive. Sweet potato puree adds a fabulous colour to this cute rolls.My kids were literally behind these rolls and they couldnt stop themselves having this chocolate rich rolls. Even my Husband who dont like cinnamon flavour in bakes simply loved it. Obviously am gonna make quite often this chocolate chips filled sweet potato cinnamon rolls.


This bakes are definitely prefect to go under Holiday bakes, its been a while i baked some flavourful cinnamon rolls for our evening snacks. Since few days, the weather is getting very much nasty with mist,rain and very less temperature..Obviously it will more than an obligation for me to make out some super flavourful cinnamon rolls to enjoy while the weather is down. This time, i just went on adding sweet potato puree to make these cinnamon rolls. These rolls are eggless and trust me sweet potato puree gives an excellent flavor and softness to this beauties, if you have sweet potatoes in your veggie basket dont forget to give a try this cinnamon rolls.Am running third week of blogging marathon with Holiday bakes as theme, hence am posting these alluring cinnamon rolls.Check out the Blogging Marathon page for the other Blogging Marathoners doing BM#59.


2cups All purpose flour
2tbsp Melted butter
1tbsp Active dry yeast
1tbsp Sugar
1tsp Salt
1/4cup Luke warm water
1/2cup Sweet potato puree
2tsp Cinnamon powder
2tbsp Sugar
2tsp Butter (room temperature)
1/2cup Chocolate chips (freezed for half an hour)
3tbsp Confectioner's sugar

In a small bowl, add the active yeast, sugar and salt in luke warm water , give a stir and keep aside, let it sit for 5 minutes until it turns foamy.

Take the all purpose flour and melted butter in an another large bowl,gradually add the foamy yeast , sweet potato puree to the flour and knead as dough.

Dust the dough with enough flour and knead for few minutes until its turns soft.

Arrange the dough in a greased bowl , let it sit for an hour in a warm place..


Once the dough doubled their volume, springle few flour and knead again for few minutes, flatten the dough with a rolling pin.

Brush the butter over the flattened dough and springle the sugar, cinnamon powder,frozen chocolate chips over the dough..roll the dough tightly as a loaf...

Slice the dough as 8-9 thick slices.Arrange those slices over a greased round baking mould.

Cover it with a plastic wrap and let it sit again for an hour until they double their volume.

Preheat the oven to 350F.

Arrange the baking pan in the middle rack and bake the uncooked rolls for 20-25minutes until its turn golden brown.

Let them cool..

Mix the confectioners sugar with few drops of water as thick paste, drizzle over the rolls before serving.
